At first sight, these chairs appeared to be in pretty good shape.   Left front leg.   Left front leg, the thick metal brace was hidden but cutting <i>into</i> the wood.   Not much left. Could it be restored?   Left front leg, restored.  
Left front leg, restored.   Ditto the right front leg.   Right front leg.   Right front leg and rails, restored.   Right front leg and seat rails, restored.  
Ready for the next 200 years.
